Q3. Do I have to be home or on site when the dumpster is delivered or removed?

You do not necessarily have to be on site at the time of the dumpster delivery It is preferred, but not necessary, to have someone onsite for delivery or removal of the rental dumpster. However, please be as specific as possible when answering the delivery questions, as the driver will use their best judgment and place the dumpster in the safest accessible area.   For rental dumpster removal, customer agrees to provide unobstructed access to the equipment. 

Q4. When can I have a dumpster delivered?

Homestead can normally deliver dumpster rentals to most of eastern Massachusetts same day or next day. Homestead does not deliver on Sundays or the following holidays: New Years Day, When will the dumpster be removed? Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Q5. When will the dumpster be removed?

We will not remove a container until the customer requests removal, even at the end of the grace rental period. Any rental charges will terminate on the date of the removal request, not the date of the actual pick up.  Dumpster pick ups may take up to a few days.  

Q6. How do I get material into the dumpster rental & how high can it be filled?

Both size dumpster rentals are open top, and have a door on the back of the dumpster that is the entire width of the dumpster rental (8 feet). If you open the door to load the dumpster, make certain that you have closed and secured the door before calling for the dumpster to be removed. Do not place any material above the top rails of the dumpster, and do not have any material protruding from the dumpster rental . When the dumpster rental is picked up it will be tarped for transport and must be road safe. If the dumpster rental is overloaded the excess material may be removed by the driver or the dumpster may be left until the customer removes excess debris.

Q7. If I fill the rental dumpster, can I have it emptied?

Yes, we can swap a full dumpster rental for an empty one, but be aware that each empty dumpster rental that is delivered is an entire new charge. Each order covers the customer for one delivery and one removal of a dumpster rental.

Q8. Can the rental dumpster be placed on the street or sidewalk?

No, a dumpster cannot be placed on a street or any other public way without proper permitting from the town that the rental dumpster is being delivered to.

Q9. Once the dumpster rental has been delivered, can I have it moved?

Yes, Homestead can respot a dumpster if you need it moved or relocated. Please refer to the Dumpster Rental Pricing page for associated charges.

10 Yard dumpster rental covers up to 1 tons of debris and 2 weeks of rental onsite. Click Service Area to view town pricing. Overage weight charge is $200 per ton pro-rated and renatal $15 per day after 2 weeks. 4 week rental and 6 week rentals are available.

10 cubic yards is the usable volume of the dumpster. The measurements are: 12 feet long, 8 feet wide and 4 feet tall. 

15 cubic yards is the usable volume of the dumpster. The dimensions are: 12 feet long, 8 feet wide and 6 feet tall.

Q1. What does the dumpster rental price include?

The price includes a one-time dumpster rental delivery, and pick-up for the selected dumpster rental size with a agreed upon disposal allowance & rental period plus fuel and environmental fees and taxes. All waste will be disposed of in a fully approved and licensed transfer - recycling disposal facility.

Q2. What is the charge if I exceed the weight limit in the dumpster?

If the Dumpster Rental exceeds the allotted weight limit there is an additional charge of $200 per ton pro-rated ($2.00 per 20 pounds). Click here for a full list of the dumpster pricing.

Q3. What is the charge if I keep the dumpster rental beyond the grace dumpster rental period?

There is a charge of $15 per day after the dumpster rental grace period of either 2 weeks, 4 weeks, or 6 weeks.
